About the role#
The Editorial Intern supports the editorial teams at The Philadelphia Citizen and Philadelphia Magazine. You will receive training in print and digital media while working directly with our staff on daily publishing tasks. This is an unpaid internship that requires you to be currently enrolled in college and able to receive academic credit.
What you'll do#
- Research, fact-check, and report on articles.
- Write content for our websites and print publications.
- Contribute to special editorial projects.
- Assist editors with administrative tasks.
- Support the team with other needs as they arise.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a junior or senior at a four-year college or university.
- Academic focus in journalism, English, communications, political science, or a related field.
- Strong writing and research abilities.
- Self-motivation and organizational skills.
- Interpersonal skills and the ability to adapt to changing tasks.
- An interest in urban innovation, community building, and improving Philadelphia for its residents.
