    About the role#

    This is an unpaid, part-time internship with a 12-month commitment. It is a remote position that can be used for class credit. You will serve as a ranking site manager reporting directly to the Publisher.

    What you'll do#

    • Select and supervise site contributors.
    • Guide contributors through the process of developing articles from original ideas to final drafts.
    • Review and approve content while cross-checking all citations and references.
    • Disseminate assignments that match the target demographic of the site.
    • Manage staff-related information and communications.
    • Ensure all production requirements and deadlines are met.

    What you'll need#

    • Expert-level proficiency in AP Style and superior communication skills.
    • A deep understanding of diverse international social and political landscapes.
    • The ability to analyze and interpret international events from multiple perspectives.
    • Strong time management skills and a history of meeting strict deadlines.
    • Experience in editorial or content management, or success in running a relevant site.
    • The ability to lead and manage a team of seven reporters.
    • Current enrollment in or a degree in Journalism, English, or a related field is preferred.

    This role is fully remote. While candidates based in New York, San Francisco, Miami, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Washington DC are encouraged to apply, the position is open to qualified applicants regardless of location.
