About the role#
This internship offers a chance to work within the operations planning and insights team at Walt Disney World. You will gain practical experience in an industrial engineering role while supporting various lines of business including merchandise, attractions, and entertainment. This is a full-time, paid position based in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.
What you'll do#
- Conduct industrial engineering analysis projects focused on operational planning, workload planning, and forecasting.
- Apply quantitative techniques including computer simulation, statistics, and process flow analysis.
- Analyze capacity utilization to identify efficiency and process improvements.
- Lead and participate in team projects that require interfacing with cast members and management across the organization.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Industrial Engineering program with an intended graduation date on or after December 2027.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Unrestricted work authorization.
- Ability to work a full-time, 40-hour weekly schedule with availability Monday through Friday, including occasional evenings or weekends.
