About the role#
As a Project Controls Intern with Covestro Engineering NA, you will support capital project execution at our Baytown production site. You will contribute to cost management, scheduling, and reporting activities to support the safety, reliability, and efficiency of our units. This is a full-time, paid internship for the Summer 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Support capital project planning and execution through cost tracking, schedule development, and performance reporting.
- Develop and maintain project schedules.
- Track budgets and forecasts.
- Prepare cost and schedule performance reports.
- Support change control processes and assist with project close-out activities.
- Engage in project controls functions including cost engineering, earned value management, and risk tracking.
- Work in an operating chemical plant environment.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor's or master's degree program in Construction Management, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Completion of at least your freshman year.
- An overall GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- A desire to work and learn in an operating chemical plant.
- Previous internship or co-op experience is a plus.
