About the role#
BBI Logistics is hiring an Operations Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship based in Columbus, Ohio. You will work directly with a mentor and participate in a program designed to build your skills in logistics through training and hands-on projects.
What you'll do#
- Rotate through various operational areas to gain exposure to the logistics industry.
- Work with teams to gain experience in LTL, carrier relationships, and transportation operations.
- Help identify and develop new transportation opportunities and lanes.
- Communicate and build relationships with carriers and transportation partners.
- Evaluate market conditions and transportation options to support lane negotiations.
- Research new carrier and truck driver opportunities for the network.
- Collaborate with different departments to understand how operations support customers.
- Manage meaningful projects that contribute to team success.
What you'll need#
- Current Junior or Senior undergraduate status.
- Preference for students pursuing a bachelor's degree.
- Ability to work from our office location.
- A hard-working and positive attitude.
- Capacity to learn and work in a busy environment.
