About the role#
Blue Bird Corporation is seeking a Co-Op Student to join the Parts & Services team. This role focuses on the creation and improvement of technical documentation and learning materials. You will gain practical experience in technical writing and instructional design while working alongside experienced professionals.
What you'll do#
- Write, edit, and maintain technical documents including user manuals, installation guides, process documentation, and FAQs.
- Work with subject matter experts to translate technical information into clear content.
- Design instructional materials such as e-learning modules, video tutorials, and training presentations.
- Support learning programs by organizing resources and coordinating sessions.
- Review existing materials to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Maintain a centralized repository for documentation and version control.
- Help develop templates, style guides, and best practices.
- Participate in cross-functional projects and feedback sessions to refine content quality.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program related to Technical Writing, Communication, Education, or Instructional Design.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Familiarity with technical writing and instructional design principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- A proactive mindset and a willingness to take initiative.
- U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status.
