About the role#
Taft College is hiring a student worker for the campus bookstore. This is a paid, on-site position with a rolling term. You will assist with daily operations and support the student community.
What you'll do#
- Greet students and provide direct service in the bookstore.
- Answer questions via telephone, email, and in person.
- Manage a cash register drawer and handle transactions during your shift.
- Organize and process textbooks and course materials.
- Receive and process incoming shipments and deliveries.
- Use bookstore software programs to complete daily tasks.
- Help create marketing content for the bookstore using social media and the brand guide.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in at least 6 units at Taft College.
- Maintain enrollment and good standing throughout the assignment.
- Prior retail experience is a plus.
