About the role#
Taft College is hiring a student worker to assist with the maintenance and preparation of the baseball facilities. This position is on-site and open to current students who are registered athletes.
What you'll do#
- Mow the infield grass and apron areas.
- Edge the grass and dirt borders.
- Drag and rake the infield dirt before and after workouts and games.
- Rake, tamp, and water the mound, bullpens, and home plate areas every day.
- Sweep the dugouts after practice sessions.
- Keep the baseball shed clean and organized.
- Clean the hitting cages as needed.
- Empty trash cans.
- Set up the field for practices and game days.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student at Taft College.
- Status as a registered athlete with Taft College athletics.
- Good standing at the college.
- Registration for at least 6 units during the work study program.
