About the role#
Student Ambassadors serve as peer leaders to promote student engagement, mental health awareness, and campus wellness initiatives. You will act as a mentor and positive role model while helping to create an inclusive and supportive campus community.
What you'll do#
- Support the outreach supervisor with the planning, coordination, and execution of recruitment and retention events.
- Serve as a liaison to K-12, high school, and community partners.
- Assist prospective and current students with enrollment, financial aid, and registration.
- Promote mental health and wellness programs, services, and events.
- Enter prospective student data and provide clerical support to student services.
- Conduct recruitment presentations and assist with social media outreach.
- Make student wellness calls and distribute information about support resources.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in at least 6 units at Taft College with a minimum 2.0 GPA.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, spreadsheets, and database software.
- Ability to lift 30 lbs.
- A valid driver's license.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and pay close attention to detail.
