    About the role#

    As a Live Entertainment Tech Intern, you will support the technical operations behind our shows and events at Walt Disney World. This role involves working across our theme parks, water parks, Disney Springs, and the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. You will work alongside Stage Technicians to help bring performances to life.

    What you'll do#

    • Participate in equipment staging for various parks and venues.
    • Support daily technical operations, including atmosphere shows, parades, props logistics, and special events.
    • Operate audio, video, and lighting equipment by following stage manager cues and time codes.
    • Conduct safety checks before, during, and after performances to ensure a secure environment.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment as a Junior, Senior, or Graduate student in Theater, Technical Theater, Technical Production, or a related field.
    • A solid understanding of theatrical terminology, documentation, and show equipment.
    • The ability to handle a physically demanding role that requires frequent lifting, climbing, squatting, and standing for long periods.
    • A valid US driver’s license and the ability to operate a company vehicle.
    • Full availability to work 40 hours per week, Sunday through Saturday.

    • Location: Lake Buena Vista, Florida.
    • Term: Winter 2027 (January 2027 to May 2027).
    • Work Modality: On-site.
    • This is a paid, full-time internship.
