About the role#
This 12-week summer internship offers hands-on experience in energy engineering. You will work on projects that focus on building efficiency and sustainability. The program develops your technical, communication, and leadership skills while providing insight into our energy-focused business solutions. You will collaborate with peers across North America and gain experience that supports a future career in this field.
What you'll do#
- Partner with Account Managers and Energy Engineers to diagnose energy opportunities in customer facilities.
- Perform building walk-throughs to identify energy conservation measures across commercial, institutional, and industrial sites.
- Analyze data outputs to identify trends, performance deviations, and areas for further investigation.
- Assist with technical qualification tasks, including preliminary audits, site surveys, and client interviews.
- Develop benchmark summary reports to illustrate building and system performance.
- Collaborate on software reporting capabilities and investigate new technologies.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Completion of at least your sophomore year of undergraduate studies before the internship begins.
- A valid driver’s license held for at least 12 months.
- Ability to provide proof of insurance.
- A clean driving record with no major or frequent traffic violations in the previous 3 years.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
