About the role#
As an Environmental Health & Safety Intern at the Tallahassee site, you will help create a safer, healthier, and more sustainable workplace. You will gain hands-on experience with OSHA, EPA, and environmental programs while working with leadership to improve safety processes and reduce risk. This is a paid, full-time summer 2026 internship.
What you'll do#
- Strengthen EHS management systems by supporting policy development, documentation, and compliance tracking.
- Assist with hazard assessments, incident investigations, and the creation of corrective action plans.
- Partner with teams to deliver EHS training and ensure employees understand safety practices and regulatory requirements.
- Support environmental compliance efforts regarding permits, inspections, and programs for air, water, and waste management.
- Participate in daily GEMBA walks and 5S initiatives to maintain organized and efficient work environments.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Health Administration, Chemical Engineering, Biology, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
- Foundational knowledge of EHS regulations and standards such as OSHA, EPA, ANSI, and NFPA.
- Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office and learn EHS software systems.
- Capability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
