About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity for college students to gain practical experience in the financial services industry. You will perform financial analysis, accounting, and reporting functions while working alongside professional teams. This is a full-time, paid summer 2027 position based on-site in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
What you'll do#
- Extract financial data from various accounting and information systems.
- Compile, consolidate, and analyze financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Test and verify information to ensure it is correct and reasonable.
- Participate in monthly accounting processes and maintain internal controls.
- Update financial reports and models used for forecasting, trending, and results analysis.
- Support client reporting needs, including performance and compensation data.
- Assist with project work and improve existing reporting procedures.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college or university pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or Economics.
- Familiarity with accounting principles.
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
