About the role#
Tri-State Iron & Metal Co. is hiring an AP Clerk Intern to support our accounting team in Texarkana. This is a part-time, paid position with a rolling start date. You will work on-site and assist with various financial and administrative tasks as directed by our accounting supervisors and executive team.
What you'll do#
- Manage and complete assigned accounting and administrative projects.
- Maintain accurate and organized records.
- Perform accounting and administrative procedures on the production yard, such as inventory counts.
- Conduct internal audit functions at our satellite locations.
- Assist with general accounting roles, including accounts payable or receivable as needed.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma.
- Basic Microsoft Excel skills.
- No history of financial crime, such as theft or fraud.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and walk up to 3 miles daily.
- Ability to climb ladders over 20 feet and work in both office and outdoor production environments.
- Pursuing a degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance is preferred.

- Location: Texarkana, Arkansas.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Part-time, averaging 20 hours per week with flexibility between Monday and Friday. Some Saturday work may be required.
