About the role#
TRUMPF is seeking an Assembly Intern for our Farmington, CT location. This role provides practical experience to complement your classroom learning. You will work on-site for at least 32 hours a week between January 2027 and August 2027.
What you'll do#
You will support the development of assembly standards by creating work instructions and performing time studies. You will also manage small projects aimed at improving productivity and quality. Your tasks include creating new production layouts, defining workstations based on ergonomic standards, and assisting with smaller fixture design projects. You will also use the SAP system to link work instructions to production steps.
What you'll need#
We are looking for students pursuing an undergraduate degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering. You should have a strong operations or experimental background. We value creativity, analytic skills, and thoroughness. Good communication skills are essential. Experience with MS Office, Visio, SolidWorks, and SAP is helpful. Knowledge of the Toyota Production System or Six Sigma is a plus but not required.

This internship is located in Farmington, Connecticut. It is a full-time, paid, on-site position. We do not provide visa sponsorship for this role.
