About the role#
As a Product Safety Intern at TÜV SÜD, you will work in a laboratory environment to conduct formalized test procedures. This role involves hands-on technical work, data collection, and reporting to ensure products meet safety regulations.
What you'll do#
- Inspect, photograph, and document products for testing and assessment.
- Perform and monitor product testing according to applicable requirements.
- Collect and record test data, including Test Data Sheets and graphical information.
- Prepare accurate Test Reports, Test Incident Reports, and Technical Reports.
- Operate and troubleshoot test equipment while validating equipment calibrations.
- Update supervisors daily on project status and ensure timelines are met.
- Communicate project details with internal and external customers.
- Report any damage to test samples or equipment to your supervisor immediately.
- Complete daily time sheets and follow all company policies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Electrical or Electronics Engineering program.
- Ability to apply basic electrical concepts.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency with MS Windows and MS Office.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a laboratory setting.
- Ability to stay focused and professional.
- Availability to work overtime hours if required.
- Capability to occasionally lift and handle equipment weighing up to 25 lbs.
