About the role#
Cape Cod Veterinary Specialists offers a 13-month rotating internship for new graduates. You will work in a clinical environment alongside more than 30 veterinarians, including over 20 board-certified specialists. This program provides exposure to emergency and specialty medicine to help you build confidence as a clinician.
What you'll do#
- Rotate through Emergency & Critical Care, Surgery, Internal Medicine, Radiology, Cardiology, and Anesthesia.
- Manage emergency and hospitalized cases under supervision.
- Participate in daily rounds with specialists.
- Engage in journal club and M&M rounds.
- Present a professional lecture.
- Deliver patient care.
What you'll need#
- Graduate of an AVMA-accredited or recognized veterinary school.
- Passed the NAVLE or PAVE/ECFVG equivalent prior to the start date.
- Eligible for Massachusetts veterinary licensure and DEA registration.
- Must reside within one hour of the hospital for on-call responsibilities.
- Strong desire to learn and grow in a specialty hospital.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Compassion, resilience, and commitment to patient-centered care.

- Locations: Buzzards Bay, Massachusetts and South Dennis, Massachusetts.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Status: Full-time, paid position.
