    About the role#

    Vitality Veterinary of Swansea offers a hands-on clinical externship for veterinary students. You will work in a general practice setting located 40 miles outside of Boston. The team focuses on providing affordable, comprehensive care through diagnostics, wellness, and urgent care. You will gain experience across various medical areas, including soft tissue surgery and dentistry.

    What you'll do#

    • Participate in daily case discussions and collaborative problem-solving.
    • Provide hands-on patient care in general practice, emergency, and specialty settings.
    • Work directly with an experienced veterinarian and support staff.
    • Assist in surgical cases, dental procedures, emergencies, and routine medical appointments.
    • Discuss exam findings with your supervisor to verify your diagnostic plans.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment at an AVMA-accredited veterinary school.
    • Official status on an externship block for school credit.
    • Proof of professional liability insurance.
    • Priority is given to students in their 3rd or 4th clinical years.

    • Schedule: Rolling.
    • Compensation: This is a paid position. Stipends are available to offset travel and lodging costs, provided your school allows it.
