About the role#
Vitality Veterinary of Swansea offers a hands-on clinical externship for veterinary students. You will work in a general practice setting located 40 miles outside of Boston. You will gain experience across various medical areas, including soft tissue surgery and dentistry.
What you'll do#
- Participate in daily case discussions and collaborative problem-solving.
- Provide hands-on patient care in general practice, emergency, and specialty settings.
- Work directly with an experienced veterinarian and support staff.
- Assist in surgical cases, dental procedures, emergencies, and routine medical appointments.
- Discuss exam findings with your supervisor to verify your diagnostic plans.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment at an AVMA-accredited veterinary school.
- Official status on an externship block for school credit.
- Proof of professional liability insurance.
- Priority is given to students in their 3rd or 4th clinical years.
