About the role#
The University Union at Sacramento State is looking for an Event Services Attendant. You will work with faculty, staff, students, and the community to support events held in our facility. This role involves direct interaction with patrons and requires a varied schedule that includes some nights and weekends.
What you'll do#
- Schedule meetings and events using dedicated software.
- Provide customer service within event spaces.
- Operate audio-visual equipment, including built-in lighting and sound systems.
- Manage projection systems and spotlights.
- Run a portable sound system with a 24-channel mixer.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment at Sacramento State during the regular term.
- Minimum of nine semester units for undergraduate students or six units for graduate students.
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Dependability and the ability to work with little direct supervision.
- Prior experience with sound and lighting systems is preferred.

- Work Modality: On-site.
- Term: Rolling.
- Compensation: $16.90 per hour.
- Hours: Generally up to 20 hours per week during the academic year, with up to 40 hours during breaks.
