    About the role#

    The Graduate Assistant for Student Leadership and Engagement Programs supports the Office of Student Campus Life by advancing leadership development and student engagement. This role involves planning and assessing leadership initiatives, advising student government, and coordinating campus traditions. You will report to the Assistant Dean of Leadership and Engagement Programs and work with faculty, staff, and students to foster a welcoming campus environment.

    What you'll do#

    • Assist in planning and assessing leadership development initiatives and the W.O.O.F. Leadership curriculum.
    • Facilitate workshops, retreats, and training for student organization officers and emerging leaders.
    • Advise the Redlands Student Government, including attending meetings and supporting elections or officer transitions.
    • Coordinate logistics for campus traditions, such as DAWGS events and Bulldog Beginnings, including vendor communication and event setup.
    • Mentor student leaders on organizational effectiveness and event planning.
    • Support New Student Orientation, including the training and supervision of Orientation Leaders.
    • Provide administrative support, including budget tracking, calendar management, and report preparation.
    • Represent Student Campus Life at campus events and committee meetings.

    What you'll need#

    • A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
    • Demonstrated leadership experience in student government, orientation, athletics, or community service.
    • Strong interest in student affairs and leadership development.
    • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively.
    • Proficiency or willingness to learn Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and university software.
    • A valid California driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
    • Ability to work evenings and weekends as required by programming.
    • Experience facilitating workshops or mentoring peers is preferred.

    • Schedule: Part-time, 15 hours per week.
