About the role#
Utility Revenue Services is looking for a graduate student to lead a 12-week project focused on revenue recovery and client re-engagement. You will work with a dataset of past utility billing audits for multifamily residential properties to identify and prioritize unimplemented recommendations. Your goal is to create a repeatable process that helps our clients capture untapped revenue.
What you'll do#
- Analyze large datasets to identify patterns, prioritize opportunities by value, and track potential outcomes.
- Build models and templates in Excel to manage the pipeline.
- Use AI tools like Claude or ChatGPT to automate workflows, process data, and generate scripts.
- Create a framework to bundle multiple property opportunities into cohesive, client-ready presentations.
- Provide structured progress updates to the Project Manager and present strategic results to the CFO and CEO.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an MBA or Masters degree program in Business Administration, Finance, Data Science, or Economics.
- Advanced Excel skills including experience with complex modeling and large datasets.
- Demonstrated fluency with AI tools to accelerate data processing and task automation.
- Ability to translate complex data analysis into clear narratives for clients.
- Capacity to work independently and manage project milestones.

- This is a full-time, paid summer 2027 internship.
- The role offers both remote and hybrid work options. You may work remotely or from our office in Hinsdale, Illinois.
