    About the role#

    U.S. Engineering offers a 12-week, full-time internship for Summer 2027. You will gain practical experience in service operations, project coordination, and account management within the mechanical construction industry. This position involves working alongside our team to support daily operations, project tracking, and customer service initiatives. Interns participate in orientation, job walks, and community service events.

    What you'll do#

    • Learn the service side of mechanical, TAB, HVAC, controls, and plumbing contracting.
    • Assist managers and estimators with daily job duties.
    • Collaborate with field leadership to schedule and complete service requests.
    • Maintain accurate records of service activities and customer interactions.
    • Gain experience in project set-ups, including scheduling and resource allocation.
    • Attend project kick-off meetings and assist with proposals and scope reviews.
    • Monitor project progress to identify risks and implement corrective actions.
    • Help secure new maintenance contracts and pursue business opportunities.
    • Maintain and nurture long-term relationships with existing clients.

    What you'll need#

    • Current pursuit of a degree in Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering, or Business Administration.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Self-motivation and a genuine interest in the mechanical service industry.

    • Location: Kansas City, Missouri.
    • Modality: On-site.
    • Compensation: $19 to $23 per hour.
    • Work Authorization: Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
