About the role#
This internship offers exposure to an AI-first ecosystem within the Verizon Finance organization. You will work on projects that directly impact business operations while gaining experience in audit planning and internal controls. This is a full-time, 10-week summer program designed to help you develop technical and professional skills in a collaborative environment.
What you'll do#
- Use AI tools to screen executive expense reports for policy non-compliance and generate risk flags.
- Pilot multi-agent research tools to streamline audit planning by synthesizing regulatory changes and business risks.
- Evaluate internal controls by creating agents that analyze contract documentation, policies, and vendor agreements.
- Develop prototypes of agentic software solutions to automate internal audit operations.
- Establish AI governance and safety guardrails while implementing multi-LLM architectures.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program in Accounting, Data Science, Economics, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028 with good academic standing.
- Hands-on experience in applied AI and autonomous orchestration.
- Proficiency in AI frameworks and tools such as LangChain, ChatGPT, AutoGPT, Google Gemini, NotebookLM, Claudecode, Grok, Cursor, or Ollama.
- Demonstrated ability to drive cross-functional projects using systems thinking and data-backed reasoning.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or future sponsorship requirements.
- Willingness to travel and relocate if necessary.
- Clear and persuasive written and verbal communication skills.
Location & details#
- Location: Lake Mary, Florida.
- Term: Full-time, 10-week internship from June 2027 to August 2027.
- Modality: Hybrid, with a mix of remote work and at least three days per week in the office as determined by your manager.
- This role is paid and includes eligibility for holiday pay and the 401(k) Savings Plan.
