About the role#
We are looking for a DVM/VMD student to join Animal Medical Centers of Loudoun in Ashburn, Virginia. This externship provides hands-on training and mentorship within a seven-doctor practice. You will work alongside experienced staff to support care for dogs, cats, and small exotics.
What you'll do#
- Support veterinary care for dogs, cats, and small exotics.
- Engage in hands-on training and mentorship with our clinical team.
- Participate in advanced surgical and imaging consult services.
- Learn and practice low-stress handling techniques.
- Communicate with clients regarding patient care.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an AVMA accredited Veterinary School (VMD or DVM degree path).
- Strong clinical skills in wellness and surgery.
- Experience with holistic treatments like acupuncture, herbal medicine, and homeopathy.
- Ability to work with multiple veterinary specialists and exotics.
- Interest in professional growth and mentorship.
