About the role#
Vocal Media is hiring Social Media Fellows to build vertical video strategies across TikTok, Instagram, and other platforms. This is a contract role for people who understand digital content and social media culture. You will work on topics including news, finance, and culture.
What you'll do#
- Dedicate 10-12 hours per week with a flexible schedule.
- Attend two 30-minute check-ins each week.
- Manage 10-15 posts per account for at least two accounts weekly across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook.
- Source and clip video content from news, cultural events, and social media.
- Write platform-optimized captions that match the voice of each account.
- Use our database of stories, videos, photos, and trending sounds.
- Monitor trends and algorithm updates to adjust your content approach.
- Track performance metrics and audience engagement.
- Collaborate with other fellows and content leadership on strategy.
What you'll need#
- Deep knowledge of social media platforms.
- Ability to identify trends and produce content that gets attention.
- Skill in finding and clipping relevant video content.
- Ability to write captions for different platforms.
- Preferred majors include Communications, Media Studies, Marketing, Graphic Design, Journalism, Business Administration, Psychology, or Sociology.

- This role is fully remote.
- This is a paid, part-time contract position with rolling terms.
