About the role#
Waterfall Asset Management offers a 10-week summer internship program for undergraduate students. You will rotate through two investment strategies to gain transaction experience. The program begins with training in debt cash flow modeling and bond math. You will also participate in structured credit classes that cover asset-backed and mortgage-backed securities.
What you'll do#
- Work with senior portfolio managers and investment teams on the full investment process.
- Conduct due diligence, transaction modeling, underwriting, and investment memo creation.
- Assist with trade and deal execution.
- Complete two 4-week rotations across verticals such as Private Credit, CRE Loans, CRE Equity, and various trading desks.
- Present a live investment opportunity with a full underwrite to the firm Investment Committee, including Partners and Managing Partners.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing an undergraduate degree with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- Minimum 3.75 GPA.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Knowledge of finance and capital markets, along with a genuine interest in the field.
- Ability to perform in a changing environment.
- Majors in Finance, Business Administration, or Economics.
