About the role#
As a Field Services Mechanical Engineering intern, you will gain hands-on experience by working on various projects related to nuclear power plant systems and products. You will report to the Reactor Services Tooling and Technology Senior Manager and contribute to the development of technical systems.
What you'll do#
- Provide engineering design and analysis for nuclear power plant products and services, including fuel manufacturing, spent-fuel management, maintenance, and instrumentation.
- Coordinate with customers, vendors, and internal departments to gather technical information for your assignments.
- Plan and schedule your work to meet project requirements.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program for Mechanical Engineering.
- Completion of your sophomore year of college.

- Location: Chattanooga, Tennessee.
- Term: Summer 2027 (May through August).
- Work Modality: Hybrid.
- Status: Full-time and paid position.
- Compensation: $25.40 to $29.00 per hour, depending on experience and skills.
