About the role#
This eight-month internship provides an introduction to the commercial side of an international gallery. You will work within the Sales and Secondary Market departments in New York. The role focuses on the processes, research, and professional relationships that support gallery operations. You will gain exposure to art fairs and auction viewings while building a foundation in the contemporary art market.
What you'll do#
- Conduct research on objects and market trends.
- Compile documentation for exhibition histories and provenance.
- Track auction results.
- Assist the sales team with client research.
- Prepare artwork offer packs and presentation materials.
- Manage sales data and support the development of collector relationships.
What you'll need#
- A demonstrable interest in contemporary art.
- Knowledge of the White Cube programme.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to conduct in-depth market research.
- Academic background in Art, Communications, Marketing, or Business Administration is preferred.

- Location: New York, New York.
- Term: Fall 2026 (starting in October).
- Modality: This is a full-time, on-site role.
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, with additional hours as required.
- Status: This is a paid internship. Sponsorship is not available for this position.
