About the role#
Yeo & Yeo CPAs & Advisors is seeking a Business Valuation Intern to join our team for the Winter 2027 term. This is a paid, part-time position where you will gain hands-on experience in business valuation while working alongside our professional staff.
What you'll do#
- Conduct industry and economic research using public and proprietary sources.
- Prepare valuation reports and assist in the documentation process.
- Apply valuation methods, including Income, Market, and Asset-Based approaches.
- Research and apply valuation multiples.
- Work in a team environment and take direction from multiple managers.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with a GPA of 3.0 or greater.
- Understanding of financial statements and basic accounting principles (GAAP).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling and data analysis tools.
- Basic knowledge of IRS valuation guidelines and AICPA SSVS No. 1 standards.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional demeanor and a commitment to confidentiality and ethical standards.
- Desire to pursue a CPA, CVA, or related credential.
- Interest in community involvement.
Location & details#
- Location: Ann Arbor, Michigan or Troy, Michigan.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Term: January 2027 through May 2027.
- Schedule: 12 to 20 hours per week.
- Eligibility: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
