About the role#
The Pork Sales Intern joins the US Pork Team to gain experience in the animal health industry. This role focuses on supporting sales strategies and building customer relationships within the agricultural market. You will work remotely for a 9-week period from May 31, 2027, to July 31, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Assist sales representatives with customer outreach and relationship management.
- Support the preparation of sales presentations and marketing materials for pork producers.
- Analyze sales data and market trends to identify growth opportunities.
- Participate in sales meetings and training sessions.
- Coordinate events and promotions targeting pork industry clients.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including veterinary and pork production specialists.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Business, Animal Science with a sales focus, or related fields.
- Strong interest in sales, marketing, and the pork industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Windows, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Excellent written and communication skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage time effectively while working remotely.
- Access to a personal vehicle for work-related travel.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship.
- The role is remote, though candidates located in IA, IN, MO, MI, OH, IL, or MN are preferred.
- Mileage reimbursement is provided for work travel.
- Sponsorship for work authorization is not provided.
