About the role#
Aecon Group Inc. is hiring a Project Coordinator for a co-op position within K.P.C. Power Electrical Ltd. This role supports utility construction projects and is designed for students seeking hands-on experience in construction management or engineering. The position is a full-time, paid opportunity with a duration of 8 to 16 months.
What you'll do#
- Support the Project Manager with day-to-day coordination and on-site activities.
- Prepare, organize, and maintain project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Track and manage project documents, including RFIs, reports, and general correspondence.
- Schedule and attend project meetings, including taking meeting minutes.
- Generate and follow up on Requests for Information (RFIs).
- Assist with the setup of project folders and maintain files on shared servers.
- Support the preparation of change notices, change orders, and O&M manuals.
- Track and summarize site hours to align with project reporting requirements.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and safe work practices.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a 2-year technician program, 3-year technologist program, or a 2nd or 3rd-year Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering degree.
- Interest in the electrical utility sector.
- Understanding of basic project coordination concepts, including scheduling, documentation control, and change management.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and MS Project.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to work both in an office environment and on-site.

- Pay Range: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour.
