About the role#
Canem Systems is hiring a Business Intelligence Student for an 8-month co-op position starting in September 2026. This is a full-time, paid internship where you will manage your own area of responsibility with guidance from a supervisor and technical mentor.
What you'll do#
- Gather, analyze, and interpret data from databases, spreadsheets, and other platforms.
- Build and implement processes for data collection, cleansing, and validation to ensure accuracy.
- Design reports, dashboards, and visualizations to present findings to stakeholders.
- Analyze data to spot patterns, trends, and insights that support decision-making.
- Monitor business performance metrics and KPIs to identify areas for improvement.
- Work with cross-functional teams to provide data-driven recommendations and support ad-hoc requests.
- Keep up with industry trends and new technologies in business intelligence.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary program, specifically in Data Science, Computer Science, or Business Administration.
- A genuine interest in business intelligence and analytics.

- This role is based on-site in one of the following locations: Calgary, AB; Edmonton, AB; Vancouver, BC; or Winnipeg, MB.
- Term: Fall 2026.
