About the role#
Corteva Agriscience is looking for students to join our Research and Development organization as Data Science Interns. You will work alongside scientists and technical experts in an industrial R&D setting. This is a full-time, paid internship based in Indianapolis, IN.
What you'll do#
- Work on computer science projects including automation, machine learning, software engineering, database building, visualization, statistics, geospatial analysis, and mathematical modeling.
- Engage with business users to gather requirements and identify ways to improve internal tools and workflows.
- Explore and implement AI and analytics to support data-driven decisions.
- Develop AI-enabled solutions that use historical data to manage work more effectively.
- Integrate and analyze data from multiple internal sources to improve reporting, dashboards, and chatbot capabilities.
- Enhance internal tools through workflow automation to reduce manual effort.
- Use geographic information systems to develop new data products and conduct assessments.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelors, Masters, or Doctorate in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, Automation, or a related field.
- Completion of at least two full years of undergraduate-level computer science or data science curriculum, including lab courses.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Strong technical data skills, business communication, and a problem-solving mindset.
- Curiosity and a willingness to interact with stakeholders.
- Experience or interest in data engineering, pipelines, cloud platforms, version control, testing, or CI/CD practices.
- Experience with R, Python, cloud computing (Azure, AWS, GCP), and visualization packages.
Location & details#
- Location: Indianapolis, IN.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Modality: On-site.
- Commitment: Full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks between May and August.
- Relocation: You must be able to relocate to Indianapolis for the duration of the internship.
