About the role#
Aecon is looking for a Quality Intern to join the team for the Contrecœur Port Expansion Project. This is a 4-month internship where you will report to the Quality Director. You will support the team in implementing quality processes and monitoring compliance on site. This role offers hands-on experience on a large-scale construction project.
What you'll do#
- Support the quality team with the implementation of the project quality management plan.
- Monitor work compliance to ensure it meets project requirements.
- Document and track non-conformities.
- Manage project documentation and organize quality files.
- Participate in internal audits and follow up on corrective actions.
- Collaborate with construction and engineering teams.
- Use software tools like Aconex and Procore to track documents and processes.
- Assist in the preparation of quality reports.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an engineering, construction, or related bachelor program.
- A strong interest in quality processes within construction or infrastructure.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work well within a team.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word.
- Fluency in both English and French is required to collaborate with the Toronto head office and local Quebec teams.
- Experience with Aconex or Procore is considered an asset.
