About the role#
This summer internship program offers training in project finance, financial statement analysis, and financial modeling. You will work on active projects within a meritocratic team. The role involves high-pressure assignments that impact our clients and the firm. Successful interns may be invited to join the firm in a full-time position.
What you'll do#
- Participate in the execution of equity and debt offerings, mergers and acquisitions, public-private partnerships, and principal investments.
- Develop complex financial models for infrastructure transactions using macros and VBA programming.
- Manage due diligence processes and coordinate with third-party advisors.
- Prepare client presentations and contribute to project discussions.
- Research potential investment banking opportunities, target companies, sectors, industries, and geographies.
- Assist the senior team in evaluating investment opportunities and managing existing investments.
- Develop asset valuations and maintain marketing materials like pitch decks.
What you'll need#
- An undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, commerce, business, statistics, computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field.
- You must be entering your penultimate year of study, with graduation expected by summer 2028.
- A minimum cGPA of 80% or 3.7/4.0.
- Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly in writing and verbally.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and take initiative.
- A commitment to producing accurate work under tight deadlines.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, 4-month summer internship from May to August 2027.
- The role is based on-site in either Toronto or Vancouver.
- The position is paid.
