About the role#
This is a paid, full-time internship based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. You will work on-site and gain hands-on experience in the fire protection industry. This role focuses on applying classroom knowledge to real-world design projects.
What you'll do#
- Design automatic sprinkler systems using AutoCAD and AutoSPRINK.
- Create fire protection designs that follow applicable codes and contract requirements.
- Prepare stock lists using the standard company format.
- Verify that design details meet specific project needs.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an associate or bachelor’s degree program in a related field, such as Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial Engineering.
- Prior experience working with AutoCAD.
- Strong math and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of the construction industry.
