About the role#
This is a paid, full-time internship based in Davenport, Iowa. You will work on-site to gain hands-on experience in fire protection system design. We offer a housing stipend if relocation is required for the position.
What you'll do#
- Design automatic sprinkler systems using AutoCAD and AutoSPRINK.
- Create fire protection designs that follow applicable codes and contract requirements.
- Prepare stock lists using our standard company format.
- Ensure all design details match specific project requirements.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an associate or bachelor's degree program, specifically in Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering.
- Prior experience working with AutoCAD.
- Strong math and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with the construction industry.
