About the role#
Gallo is seeking engineering interns for a 6-month, full-time program. You will work on-site in Fresno, California, managing projects from concept to startup. This role requires a 40-hour work week commitment from January 2027 through June 2027.
What you'll do#
- Identify, plan, and execute industrial glass, infrastructure, electrical utility, and commercial building projects.
- Create preventative maintenance strategies and perform risk analysis for bottling, spirits, and harvest equipment.
- Manage projects from concept to startup across bottling and cellar facilities.
- Deliver products to customers by gathering data, using automation, and focusing on continuous improvement.
- Execute projects using established management processes while maintaining safety and quality standards.
- Operate equipment and develop training materials, including standard operating procedures and time studies.
- Work on engineering teams to identify issues, collect data, and implement solutions.
- Lead root cause analysis investigations for downtime.
- Build relationships with suppliers, technical planners, mechanics, and production line workers.
- Present findings to other functions and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in or possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering, or Engineering Management.
- Junior or Senior class standing is preferred.
- Ability to work the full 6-month duration.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Reliable transportation to and from the work site.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
- Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Projects.
- Basic knowledge of statistical analysis, Lean Manufacturing, and problem-solving.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Must be 18 years or older.
