About the role#
This paid summer internship provides hands-on experience within the AIG Claims department. You will work alongside professionals to support the investigation, evaluation, and resolution of claims. The program runs for nine weeks and includes exposure to various disciplines such as claims adjusting, analytics, fraud and recovery, and operations. Interns participate in masterclasses, hear from senior leaders, and engage in networking events. This is a full-time, on-site role.
What you'll do#
- Support the investigation, evaluation, and resolution of claims while working with cross-functional teams like underwriting, legal, and operations.
- Analyze claims and operational data to identify trends and improve internal processes.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients and key business stakeholders.
- Monitor claims activity, answer customer inquiries, and ensure accurate payments and reserving.
- Contribute to operational excellence by promoting consistency and best practices.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with an expected graduation date no later than June 2028.
- Ability to work full-time for the duration of the program from June 7 through August 6, 2027.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively and manage multiple priorities.
- Preferred majors include Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or Statistics.
Location & details#
- Locations: Atlanta, Georgia, and Jersey City, New Jersey.
- Modality: On-site, requiring at least four days per week in the office.
