About the role#
This is a Power Engineering Intern position based in Edmonton, Alberta. You will work within our hydrogen production facilities to gain hands-on experience with plant operations. This role involves a 12-hour rotating shift schedule to support our 24/7 operations.
What you'll do#
- Monitor and control hydrogen production processes, including steam systems, compressors, rotating equipment, and DCS operations.
- Collaborate with Maintenance and Instrument/Electrical Technicians to keep equipment in good working order.
- Perform equipment inspections and collect field readings.
- Complete training programs covering Basic Safety, Water Treatment, Steam Methane Reforming, Pressure Swing Absorption, and Hydrogen Compression.
- Receive guidance from our full-time operations and maintenance staff.
What you'll need#
- A minimum 3.0 GPA in the Power Engineer Technology Program.
- Ability to work a 12-hour rotating shift schedule.
- Strong focus on safety.
- Good communication skills and digital literacy.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
