About the role#
The Global Supply Strategy Summer Intern will contribute directly to the goals, processes, and key performance indicators of the Global Supply Management team. This internship offers exposure to supplier relationship management, risk management, diversity initiatives, quality processes, and systems compliance. You will gain hands-on experience by working with category managers and supporting digital transformation efforts within the supply chain.
What you'll do#
- Deepen your understanding of global supply management strategic initiatives.
- Shadow Supplier Quality Engineers to learn major quality processes and tools.
- Gain familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning systems and other purchasing technology.
- Develop automation and improve standard processing through software updates.
- Lead projects to analyze and revise team key performance indicators and audit compliance.
- Expand your knowledge of risk factors to lead risk management initiatives.
- Participate in playbook development.
- Attend Young Professional meetings and visit Allegion manufacturing sites to observe operations.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a relevant discipline.
- At least one year of related experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership ability and initiative.
- Moderate understanding of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and PowerBI.
- Ability to work effectively in both team and individual settings.
- Resiliency and the ability to adapt quickly.
- Effective time management and creative problem-solving skills.
- A desire to learn and develop through project work.
