    About the role#

    Allegion is looking for a Process Engineering Intern to join our fabrication department for the summer of 2027. You will develop and maintain processes for our equipment while gaining hands-on experience with industrial operations. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Indianapolis.

    What you'll do#

    • Assist in implementing new processes to the plant.
    • Solve problems related to machining and stamping.
    • Program CNC machines using G-Code and Conversational.
    • Support equipment rebuilds to bring machines to like-new condition.
    • Identify critical spare parts and partner with maintenance to improve process reliability.
    • Support shop floor layouts using AutoCAD or equivalent software.
    • Collaborate with plant employees and cross-functional teams.
    • Develop work instructions and standard work to support the shop floor.
    • Keep up with new technology and suggest process improvements.
    • Communicate professionally and positively with all levels of the organization.

    What you'll need#

    • High school diploma or GED.
    • Currently working toward an associate or bachelor degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering.
    • Prior experience in manufacturing.
    • Training or experience with technical processes, machining, stamping, and fabrication is preferred.
    • Ability to establish priorities and manage your time effectively.
    • A willingness to learn and grow in the role.

    • Location: Indianapolis, Indiana.
    • Term: Summer 2027.
    • Work Modality: This is an on-site position.
    • Employment: Full time, paid internship.
