About the role#
This is a paid, full-time internship opportunity for the Fall 2026 and Winter 2027 terms. You will work on-site in Portland, Maine, providing administrative support to the department.
What you'll do#
- Assist with support issues and respond to problems in a timely, courteous manner.
- Answer the telephone and route calls to the appropriate team members.
- Operate office equipment including scanners, printers, copiers, and fax machines.
- Handle miscellaneous filing tasks and provide word processing assistance.
- Maintain data integrity by entering and updating information in the agency management system.
- Take on other duties as assigned by the team.
What you'll need#
- You are currently a junior or senior enrolled in a college program, preferably in Business Administration or a related field.
- You hold a High School Diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- You have previous work experience.
- You are proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite.
- You can type at an intermediate speed of 30 to 35 words per minute.
- You possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
- You have good customer service, listening, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- You work well within a team and help foster a collaborative environment.
