    About the role#

    A Distributed Energy Resource Management System helps electric utilities manage resources like solar, wind, and battery storage. As a DERMS Co-Op, you will join the Digital/IT team to help implement this solution. You will gain hands-on experience with grid technology, software configuration, system integration, and solution testing. This role runs from May to December 2027.

    What you'll do#

    • Build and set up DERMS environments across cloud and on-premise components.
    • Support application configuration for resource forecasting, optimization, and control.
    • Coordinate integration tasks with enterprise and operational technologies alongside engineers and vendors.
    • Perform solution testing, including test preparation, data validation, and defect documentation.
    • Maintain technical documentation such as configuration notes, runbooks, and standard operating procedures.
    • Assist with troubleshooting by reviewing logs and monitoring system performance.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a bachelor's or master's program for computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field.
    • A minimum GPA of 2.5.
    • Familiarity with software configuration, system integration, and solution testing.

    Location & details#

    • This position is based in St. Louis, Missouri, or available as a remote role for residents of Illinois.
    • The work modality is hybrid.
    • This is a paid, full-time internship term for Fall 2027.
