About the role#
This internship provides exposure to the Finance organization at American Express. You will work within one of several functional areas, including Corporate Planning and Analysis, Global Commercial Services Finance, US Consumer Services Finance, Global Merchant and Network Finance, Controllership, or Global Treasury. Each intern receives a project focused on solving a real business challenge.
What you'll do#
- Provide analysis and decision support to the Finance organization.
- Learn to articulate decisions clearly to gain buy-in from stakeholders.
- Gather and analyze information from various sources to identify business trends.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of business needs.
- Hone your analytical and communication skills by tailoring messages for different audiences.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a full-time bachelor’s degree program in Finance, Business Administration, or Economics.
- A graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- Ability to analyze and manipulate large amounts of data.
- A strong work ethic, positive attitude, and self-starter mindset.
- Programming skills are a plus.
- Employment eligibility to work in the United States without company visa sponsorship.
