About the role#
This is a student worker position at Shenandoah University supporting food services and catering operations. You will gain experience in food preparation, safety standards, and customer service while working as part of the campus team.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and assemble food items using standardized recipes.
- Set up and break down workstations, including prep tables and service counters.
- Clean and sanitize work areas to maintain safety standards.
- Serve food to customers and anticipate their needs.
- Keep food items stocked and replenished throughout service.
- Maintain a positive attitude toward guests, clients, and co-workers.
- Follow company safety and sanitation policies.
- Protect and ensure the security of company assets.
What you'll need#
- Ability to obtain food safety certification.
- Strong guest service skills.
- Previous food service experience is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods.
