About the role#
This position is a Student Food Services and Catering role based at Tennessee State University. You will work on campus to support food preparation, service, and safety standards while developing professional skills.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and assemble food items using standardized recipes.
- Store food products according to company standards.
- Set up, clean, and sanitize workstations including prep tables and service counters.
- Serve food to customers and anticipate their needs.
- Replenish food items to ensure proper stock levels.
- Follow safety and sanitation policies.
- Maintain security of company assets.
What you'll need#
- Ability to demonstrate guest service skills.
- Must have or be willing to acquire a food safety certification.
- Previous food service experience is preferred.
- Ability to meet physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods.
- Willingness to wear a uniform or Personal Protective Equipment.
