About the role#
We are hiring a Student Team Member to join our hospitality operations at the University of Mississippi. This position offers a chance to build skills in food service and customer interaction while working on campus. This is a paid, full-time role with a rolling start date.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and assemble food items by following standardized recipes and instructions.
- Set up workstations, including prep tables, service counters, hot wells, and steam tables.
- Replenish food items and maintain appropriate stock levels.
- Serve food to customers and focus on guest satisfaction.
- Break down, clean, and sanitize workstations after use.
- Store food according to safety standards and follow company policies.
What you'll need#
- Ability to demonstrate guest service skills.
- Must hold or be willing to acquire a food safety certification.
- Previous food service experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to handle physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods.
- Willingness to wear a uniform or use personal protective equipment.
- Currently pursuing a major in Nutrition.
