About the role#
The Culinary Intern works under the guidance of the Chef to learn and practice essential kitchen skills. You will assist staff in producing hot and cold foods while meeting the standards set by kitchen management. This is a full-time, paid internship with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Prepare cold food items including sandwiches, salads, and dressings.
- Perform vegetable prep such as slicing and dicing.
- Assist with dish up for banquet functions and special events.
- Rotate food in coolers and dry storage to maintain freshness.
- Maintain the cleanliness of all work areas and kitchen equipment.
- Learn and apply techniques for frying, grilling, baking, roasting, and poaching.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Nutrition.
- Ability to learn and practice new culinary skills.
- Strict adherence to recipe cards.
- Commitment to safety, health, and sanitation policies.
- Success in demonstrating culinary skills through manager assessments.

- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $16.90 per hour.
