About the role#
The Golf Intern program provides a well-rounded experience designed to help you develop the skills of a golf professional. You will work scheduled shifts across various areas of our operation, including Pebble Beach Golf Links and other company-owned courses. Mentors from our professional team provide daily training to support your growth.
What you'll do#
- Perform daily operations such as guest check-in, starter and tee captain duties, and outside customer service.
- Work in the Pro Shop, serve as an 18th green attendant, and assist with on-course marshalling.
- Handle opening and closing procedures and collect golf fees.
- Support pace of play objectives and coordinate activities with other departments.
- Assist with retail sales and inventory control.
- Maintain a clean work area and remain current with golf technology and teaching trends.
- Participate in all facility aspects and attend required industry trainings.
- Comply with all company safety policies and procedures.
What you'll need#
- A strong working knowledge of the game, rules of golf, and facility operations.
- Experience with point of sale systems and cash handling.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Strong communication, organizational, and planning skills.
- A professional image and a service-focused attitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A friendly demeanor and a willingness to work hard.
- A golf background is preferred.
